Periodontology is a branch of DENTAL MEDICINE WHICH DELAS WITH ILLNESSES AND CURING OF THE STRUCTURES SUPPORTING THE TOOTH (PERIODONTAL).
PERIODONTAL IS MADE OUT OF the bone, gingiva (gums) and the ligament fibers which bind a tooth to the bone.
PERIODONTAL ILLNESSES (gingivitis, periodontitis) are inflammatory conditions which can cause the destruction of supporting structures which strengthen teeth (gum-gingiva, ligament, bone).
